The primary ingredient in IBgard, a medical food for the dietary management of Irritable Bowel Syndrome, is ultra-purified peppermint oil. TGG knew instinctively that the package had to be green to reflect the peppermint oil, and had to have a clean, scientific feel to showcase its healing medicinal uses. The emboldened, gilded logo is also surrounded by the “shield” shape to let consumers know right away that this product guards fast and strong against IBS. Using our proprietary principle, we followed the sequence of cognition from color (green), shape (shield), symbol (pill capsule) and word (“Gentle, Fast, Reliable”) to create a package design that makes you feel like the product is already soothing, protecting, and working before you even digest it.
